Which AFC East Team Do I Think Could Possibly Dethrone the Buffalo Bills This Coming Season

During the last two NFL seasons, the Buffalo Bills have been the AFC East division winners after waiting a decent amount of time due to the New England Patriots holding that title for 20 years cause of Tom Brady. Still, after Brady’s move to Tampa Bay in 2020, the Bills have taken that spot, but the question now lies in the AFC East, who will dethrone the Bills from this spot in the 2022 NFL season?

Option 1: The New York Jets

I know that the Jets haven’t been fantastic in the last couple of years due to many things, such as a terrible offense with Sam Darnold, who was allegedly seeing ghosts, and terrible coaching from Adam Gase. Still, they have some turnaround with Zach Wilson coming into his sophomore season with the Jets, acquiring Sauce Gardner in the 2022 NFL draft, and many other prospects, which could help them this season. Still, they could have downfalls as well cause of playing the Bills twice this season and the Patriots with Mac Jones and the Miami Dolphins, who now have Tyreek Hill, so the Jets have a slim chance of dethroning the Bills for the AFC East division title this season.

Option 2: The New England Patriots

Even though they were the holder of this title for 20 years with Tom Brady, the Patriots could regain the AFC East Champs title again, all with one person, second-year quarterback Mac Jones who could take a significant leap this season and could take the Patriots all the way this season but will deal with inevitable downfalls like the other teams in the AFC East but they could also get through those downfalls and possibly take the title if Jones does well this season furthermore, The Patriots might have a chance of dethroning the Bills once again this season.

Option 3: The Miami Dolphins 

The third and final option of teams in the AFC East that could dethrone the Buffalo Bills from winning the division again could be the Miami Dolphins. This could be possible since Tua Tagovailoa has certain offensive weapons, such as Jayden Waddle, newly acquired from the offseason with a trade from the Kansas City Chiefs, Tyreek Hill, and others. But here’s the thing I don’t believe that the Dolphins would be able to dethrone the Bills from winning the division just because they have Tyreek Hill if we didn’t learn from 2019 when the Cleveland Browns acquired Kaheem Hunt from the Chiefs and in 2020 when the Arizona Cardinals acquired DeAndre Hopkins from the Houston Texans which all caused so much hype for these teams in those years. Both of those teams did not live up to the hype that was swirling in the NFL in both of those years since in 2019 when the NFL was excited for the Browns to be good cause of acquiring Kaheem Hunt, which had caused the Browns to go 6-10 while in 2020 when the Cardinals had acquired DeAndre Hopkins, the Arizona Cardinals had gone 8-8 which likewise might happen to the Dolphins this year based on the hype surrounding Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins. Furthermore, the Dolphins are the least likely team to dethrone the Buffalo Bills from winning the AFC East division title for the third year in a row.

Furthermore, there are specific reasons one of the other three teams in the AFC East could dethrone the Buffalo Bills for the AFC East division title this year, but the only team that has a strong case for it is the NEW England Patriots. But there you have it, my take on who I think might dethrone the Buffalo Bills possibly this season.
